Hi Jim, I’m confused. You say you want the capture of the target to be about 150 pixels but this capture is 500+ pixels. I’ve done one test run with a 14-24mm lense at 14mm/2.8 and per your distance chart I think I was supposed to be at 18meters from the target. That gave me a bit under 100 pixels on a side. What am I misunderstanding?

How big is your target?
With a 16 inch target, at 14 mm the minimum distance is about 13 meters, and with a 16-inch star you get a target size of a bit under 100 pixels, according to this:
That’s too small. It will take at least a 24 inch star to test that lens.
