Lengthening the shutter speed of the X2D decreases the engineering dynamic range (EDR) in the way you’d expect. This test was performed using electrinic shutter (ES).
Not much difference between 14 and 16 bit precision. The different treatment of the two green channela in the half-second region appears to be intentional on the part of the designers, and not some artifact of my testing methods.
ISO 100:
The numbers are essentially the same as with the X2D-100C Mark I.
The 14-bit precision spectra show no strange behavior with shutter duration. These spectra are at 1/6000 second exposure:
