I just got mine. Typical high RRS quality. Allen wrench mounts in the base using two clips. If you’re not careful when you pull the Allen wrench out the clips will come with it. Just slide them back in. But do that before you mount the plate to the camera, because you can’t put them back in after the plate is mounted. Ask me how I know that.
The L part of the bracket is removable, and, when mounted, it can be right next to the left side of the camera body, or further away. You can open the left door with the L part of the bracket in place.
As you’d expect from RRS, the bracket fits the camera perfectly.
The usual RRS quality. Good.
The usual RRS pricing. Not so good. But not off the wall, considering that it’s made in the US.

for an us-designed and china-made item RRS is way too expansive – I have made excellent experiences with other outfitters for much less money – check it out. (The most sophisticated eco system comes from Smallrig…)

What makes you think that bracket is not made in the US?
