LensRentals has loaned me a Hasselblad XCD 55mm f/2.5 V lens for testing. I haven’t noticed much longitudinal chromatic aberration (LoCA) when testing this lens. Still, I thought it worthwhile to try a quick and dirty LoCA test: branches against the sky. All shots made with the lens wide open and ISO 64.
The scene:
I developed the image in Lightroom with default settings except for exposure adjustment and turning off sharpening and lens corrections.
The center, at about 250% magnification:
That is very clean. Hardly any blue or purple fringing.
The corner is a bit softer, but is also pretty darned clean.
