I’ve had this lens a while, and it’s been great. I was recently asked to test it. So here goes.
The particulars:
- Edelkrone Tripod X Pro
- Arca Swiss C1
- Manual exposure
- EFCS
- ISO 64
- Delay set to 2 seconds
- Six shots per f-stop
- Target centered
- Stops: f/1.8, f/2, f/2.8, f/4, f/5.6, f/8, f/11
- Shutter speeds: 1/320, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15 seconds
- Developed in Lr with default settings except for white balance, and sharpening set to 0
Overall test image:
Crops at 250% magnification:
Out resolving the sensor by quite a bit, even wide open.
A bit more contrast at f/2.
More yet at f/2.8.
About the same at f/4.
F/5.6 is good, too.
Diffraction costing us sharpness at f/8.
Diffraction is having an even greater effect, but there is still some aliasing.
This is excellent performance.

Is it an idea to test this lens with pixelshift?
you need constant light and static camera and scene, but then it does a great job, and you get a better idea about the sharpness of lenses.
