In the center, at about 250% magnification:
The contrast at the Nyquist frequency isn’t too high, but the lens definitely is laying down more detail than the sensor can resolve.
At f/1.4, the amount of detail is truly impressive.
F/2 is about the same as f/1.4.
A little sharper here.
About the same as f/2.8.
Diffraction is beginning to cost us detail.
Even more detail loss at f/8.
This is outstanding performance.
