I saw this quote in an ad for a guitar, attributed to St Francis of Assisi. Ignoring the fact that I first encountered it in the service of crass commercialism, and asking you to forgive the 13th-century gender viewpoint, I pass it along in the hope that it may mean something to you.

He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands, his head, and his heart is an artist.
