  Yesterday, the sky being close to bald, I made some slit scans of contrails. This was the most successful. With slit scans, all moving objects appear to travel opposite to the scanning direction, which is why all the planes appear to be flying from left to right.

Sunset Sunrise These are more abstract than any other slit scans I’ve posted. There’s no trying to get the viewer to see the image as anything like reality.

  Sometimes slit scan photographs don’t look very real at all. This one from last night is in that camp. Kind of creepy, huh?
