Hasselblad 90/2.5 XCD-V on X2D — focus curvature

I test for focus curvature with Roger Cicala’s method. In Photoshop, Filter>Stylize>Find Edges.

Test conditions:

• X2D 100C
• 90mm f/2.5 XCD
• ISO 64
• f/2.5
• 1/1400 to 1/1700 second, electronic shutter
• AF-S (the only find there is)
• Handheld
• Developed in Lr with default settings

This is excellent performance. The focal plane for the edges are a tiny bit closer to the camera than they should be for a rectilinear lens. Also, there is very little sharpness falloff off axis.
