For the past series of posts, I’ve been enthusing about the Leica lenses. Here’s an example of what I like so much that I think will come across even at web resolution:
1950s fire truck, Summerside, Prince Edward Island. 90mm Summicron, f/13 @ 1/45, ISO 200.
It’s not that the lens is just sharp. Much of the image in marginally in focus because of DOF limitations. It’s that the 90 ‘cron has a marvelous way with light. When people talk about how lenses “draw”, this is what they mean.
Very good and very clear. Thank you. I’ll be travelling soon during two weeks and I’ll carry a M240 and a MP (2003), with three lenses: a Summilux 35mm/f1,4 Asph., a 50mm/f1,4 Asph. FLE, and a Elamr 90mm/f2,8. I’ll glue the 35mm to the M240 and the 50mm to the analogic MP. I’ll use the 90mm fpr portraits and special photos.
