We interrupt this technical discussion for some, you know, actual photographs.
I’m continuing to spend time with my IR-modded a7 in my little oak copse. I’m beginning to figure out where I think this series is going. I think it’s going to be about the smaller trees. I think that the end game will be either a small exhibition or maybe — if I’m lucky — a LensWork spread. I’m shooting for 20 or so images in the final set.
That means that I can go back to particular angles and tree groupings where I’ve made good images and try to make better ones. With such a small number of images in the final set, I can afford to be choosy. Why such a small number of images? If I’m thinking of a show, I usually think in terms of at least 30. It’s because the subject matter is so constrained, and the images, while different from each other to me, will appear similar to people leafing through a magazine or attending an exhibition.
Here’s what I’ve done in the last week or so.
